Welcome to a Woman’s Trail Guide to Her Body
Starting the journey of coming home to yourself
Hi love,
I am so glad you’re here.
For years I have heard the same sentence from women in every season of life:
“I wish someone had told me sooner.”
Told me what was happening at puberty.
Told me how ovulation actually works.
Told me what postpartum really feels like.
Told me why my body changed in perimenopause.
Instead, we were handed our bodies and expected to figure it out alone. With silence. With shame. With jokes and eye rolls. With “just wait until…”
Our Empower Your Core series is Soma Moon’s answer to that silence.
It’s not just about hormones.
It’s not just about your pelvic floor.
It’s about coming home to yourself.
You are not broken.
You are rhythmic.
You are intelligent.
You are layered.
We’re going to look at your body through four lenses: physical, emotional, mental, and intuitive. We’ll talk about science and we’ll talk about energy. We’ll build language for what you feel so you can stop guessing and start listening.
This is not a quick fix.
It’s learning the language of your own body.
Be gentle. Ride the wave. Let this be personal before you share it. Let it settle into you.
There is a rhythm inside of you that is wise and powerful.
We’re just learning how to listen.
Love,
Jeanetta
IN THIS LESSON
In this opening lesson you’ll be introduced to the idea that your body has always been rhythmic—through puberty, monthly cycles, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Instead of bracing for each season with fear or confusion, this lesson lays the foundation for understanding your hormones through four integrated lenses: physical, emotional, mental, and intuitive.
Key ConceptsYou have a cycle at every stage of life, even on birth control or post-menopause.
Hormones influence not just biology, but energy, mood, confidence, and clarity.
Silence and shame around women’s bodies have created confusion, not incapacity.
The body can be understood through four lenses:
Physical – hormones, structure, muscle, bone, biology
Emotional/Energetic – nervous system regulation and felt experience
Mental – beliefs, stories, conditioning, subconscious patterns
Wisdom/Intuitive – inner knowing and embodied decision-making
“Touch and go” is a rhythm of self-exploration: approach, feel, regulate, and return when ready.
Key TakeawaysUnderstanding your internal landscape gives you authority over your choices.
Your hormones are not something happening to you; they are part of your design.
Growth requires repetition, reflection, and patience.
You are allowed to move slowly and hold this work close before sharing it.
Reflection & Next Steps
1. Pause and Ask YourselfWhat messages did I receive about my body growing up?
Was it something to hide, manage, control, or celebrate?
Where have I been “figuring it out alone”?
Do I tend to override my body or ignore it when it speaks?
What would it mean to believe that I am rhythmic instead of broken?
2. Orient to the MapWrite down where you are in your hormonal lifespan right now: puberty, reproductive years, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause. Then note one physical pattern, one emotional pattern, and one mental pattern you notice in this season. This is not about judging it. It is about locating yourself on the trail. Clarity begins with orientation.
3. Commit to the ProcessChoose one simple practice for this course:
• Set aside a consistent time each week to engage the material.
• Begin a dedicated journal for your reflections.
• Start tracking one daily awareness about your body or mood.
This is not a quick fix. It is a relationship. Your only job right now is to stay curious, stay honest, and keep listening.
