Wintering Body Scan: A Meditation for Deep Rest

Winter is a season of turning inward. In nature, growth pauses, energy is conserved, and rest becomes essential. Yet as humans, we often resist this rhythm, pushing forward even when our bodies ask for stillness. This wintering body scan meditation is an invitation to do the opposite. Through guided awareness and breath, you’ll be supported in slowing down, softening, and allowing rest to settle deeply into your body. This practice honors the wisdom of winter as a time to let go, restore, and simply be.

In this class, you will explore:

  • The natural rhythm of winter as a season of rest and conservation

  • A slow, guided body scan to cultivate awareness from head to toe

  • Breath as a gentle anchor for calming the nervous system

  • Noticing sensation without judgment, including areas of tension, ease, or numbness

  • Letting go of effort, stories, and mental chatter

  • Settling into a sense of whole-body presence and grounded rest

This class is for anyone

Who feels tired, overstimulated, or disconnected from their body, or who longs for a moment of quiet restoration. No prior meditation experience is needed. Come as you are, and allow yourself to rest.
